Munich, 03 September 2021 – JOLT and EG are pleased to demonstrate ultra-fast charging and JOLT’s unique “Mobile Swap Charging System” to the public during the first three days of the IAA in Munich.

Jolt Energy Group is a Dublin, Munich and Boston based group founded in 2017 by a team of former automotive and power engineering managers with the aim of breaking the traditional conventions of urban charging.
JOLT’s mission is to build a network of high-performance chargers in large cities over the next ten years. JOLT uses advanced mobile charging stations with integrated batteries to supplement the weaknesses of the existing electricity grid. In some cases, this means running charging stations like mobile phone battery packs on city streets and swapping them with freshly charged units when they are empty.
IAA Mobility is the world’s largest exhibition of mobility concepts that point us towards a zero-emission future. High-performance, flexible charging is the urban solution. Although 72 percent of EU citizens live and work in cities and suburbs, there are not enough charging stations available to charge the EVs, which are arriving.

A demonstration will be available from 07-09/09 every day from 2pm to 6pm.
A JOLT employee and our CEO Maurice Neligan will explain the swap-charging system over coffee & snacks and give you all relevant information on the further expansion of the JOLT fast charging network in cities in Europe and the USA.

We will also be present at the Open Space in Munich city center at the Bayern Design stand in the Kaiserhof in the Munich Residenz. The exhibition “Open minded to new visions” will show how good design and new technology – with agility, openness, and visionary power – work together to develop, design and experience innovative forms of mobility.
