Jolt Energy GmbH is a Munich-based company founded in 2018 by a team of automotive and power engineering managers with the goal of breaking the traditional conventions of urban charging. At JOLT, we believe that e-mobility will only be successful if sufficient fast charging options are available. Our company is building a network of ultra-fast charging stations for electric vehicles in European and North American cities.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant/Finanzbuchhalter (m/f/d) to join our team.
Your Responsibilities
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements together with regional finance service providers
- Improve month-end closing process to enable timely reporting of results across all companies (5 legal entities, in Europe and US)
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts with intercompany accounts
- Lead annual statutory close for German legal entity; support external accountants for international subsidiaries; coordinate audits and the timely filing of tax returns and statistical reports
- Day-to-day management of accounts receivables and accounts payables
- Monitoring payment transactions, cash planning
- Develop and implement systems and policies to support our growth
- Work with external accounting service firm (DATEV)
- Support the process of bringing external accounting in-house and the implementation of our new ERP-system (MS Dynamics)
- Group Consolidation (5 legal entities, in Europe and US) with LUCANET
Your Profile
- Successfully completed studies/training in Business Administration or equivalent and 5+ years of professional experience in Finance and Accounting
- Certificate as Bilanzbuchhalter is a clear advantage
- Technically savvy – we are moving from DATEV to MS Dynamics 365, use ServiceNow for workflows and expense tracking
- Understanding of bookkeeping requirements and their technical implementation
- Solid understanding of German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS
- Understanding of consolidation in IFRS, using LUCANET
- Ability to prioritize projects on concurrent timelines
- High level of accountability and pro-active work attitude
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and German
- Friendliness and customer-orientation, team player with a positive can-do attitude
