Jolt Energy GmbH is a Munich-based company founded in 2018 by a team of automotive and power engineering managers with the goal of breaking the traditional conventions of urban charging. At JOLT, we believe that e-mobility will only be successful if sufficient fast charging options are available. Our company is building a network of ultra-fast charging stations for electric vehicles in European and North American cities.
We are seeking an experienced Accountant (m/f/d) to join our team.
Main Tasks:
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts
- Preparing monthly and annual financial statements as well as financial analysis
- Day-to-day management of accounts receivables and accounts payables
- Creating monthly tax returns and statistical reports
- Monitoring payment transactions, cash planning and AR reconciliation
- Preparing reconciliation with intercompany accounts
- Improve month-end close to enable timely reporting of results across all companies
- Lead annual statutory close for German legal entities; support external accountants for international subsidiaries; coordinate audits and the timely filing of tax returns
- Support roll-out of ERP system to more international subsidiaries and development of additional functionalities
- Develop and implement systems and policies to support our growth
- Work with external accounting service firm (DATEV); Drive process to bring external accounting and consolidation in-house
- Direct reporting to the CFO

Main requirements:
- Successfully completed studies/training in Business Administration or equivalent and 3+ years of professional experience in Finance and Accounting
- Strong analytical skills
- Solid understanding of German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS
- Advanced Excel skills and understanding of consolidation
- Ability to prioritize and lead high-priority projects on concurrent timelines
- Be a builder: initiative, entrepreneurial attitude and a desire to build tools, processes and systems to support growth
- Understanding of adequate level of detail needed to assess a situation and make a decision; value simplicity in design
- Strong communication skills in English and German
- Friendliness and customer-orientation, team player with a positive can-do attitude
